There has been a boom in blokes wanting to increase the size of their willies and has been linked to pornography.
Two of the UK’s largest surgery groups for male sexual health have reported a massive rise in numbers of men paying for penis fillers.
The non-surgical procedure involves a single injection costing about £3,000 and can boost girth — the measurement around the shaft, not length — by an inch or more.
Follow-up jabs may be needed every 12 to 18 months, each costing about half the original sum.
The liquid injected, under the skin of the organ’s shaft, is usually hyaluronic gel.
Penis filler can cost around £3,000 and follow-up jabs may be needed every 12 to 18 months after the initial procedure.
They have also seen a 20-fold increase in numbers of procedures. Online porn has been linked to the rise in demand — but it is also driven by women.
David Mills, from Moorgate Andrology, which has a clinic on London’s Harley Street, told The Sun: “A survey we did this year showed most women wanted more than the average penis size. We also know, from men who we talk to, they are not happy to be average.
“These factors, together with a fall-off in the stigma around aesthetic medical procedures for men, are helping to fuel demand.”
But Dr Asif Muneer, from the British Association of Urological Surgeons, warned about the injections: “It might lead to complications that will impair sexual function later on.”
Stuart Price, 36, welder
FATHER-of-two Stuart was looking into having a hair transplant when he spotted an advert about penis fillers.
He says: “I was curious and asked about the cost. When someone from the clinic called back I was quite embarrassed, to be honest.
Stuart Price was actually looking into getting a hair transplant when he spotted an advert about penis filler.
“I didn’t think I really needed it done but then I thought, ‘Women have their boobs done, so why can’t men have their penises enlarged?’ Every boy would love a bit more on their penis.”
Since losing 10st, Stuart, from Caerphilly, Wales, has become much more focused on his appearance.
He says: “I split up with a girl after six years and started going to the gym. I used to weigh 25st and didn’t exercise but now I go to the gym every day.”
He isn’t surprised by the rise in men braving such an intimate procedure.
Stuart didn’t tell his model girlfriend Carys, 28, he was having the procedure until the last minute.
Stuart says: “All men are a little bit self-conscious of their penises. If you’re peeing in the urinal and the man next to you has one that’s a little bit bigger than yours, you have to turn away.
“Porn puts a different perspective on what penises should look like and how big they should be. It can be intimidating for men. Also, women look at pictures of celebrities in their pants, like David Beckham, and say, ‘Ooh, look at his packet’ – but all men know he’s probably just shoved a sock down there.”
Stuart, who has six-year-old twin boys from a previous relationship, didn’t tell his model girlfriend Carys
Tedstone, 28, he was having the procedure until the last minute. But she went along for moral support when he had his first treatment at Moorgate Andrology last week.
Stuart Price says the penis filler has left a noticeable difference and he ‘can’t stop looking at it’
He says he has gained about an inch in girth, and is now 6in when flaccid.
Stuart adds: “Seriously, you can really notice a difference. I can’t stop looking at it. I definitely feel more confident. It feels a lot heavier. I also have to massage my penis every day to make sure the filler is evenly distributed.”
The only downside is that he has to abstain from sex for another three weeks.
He jokes: “It’s been very hard.”
Eric Bell, 68, retired nurse
SINGLE Eric started having the treatment around three years ago in a bid to boost his confidence on the dating scene – and has now had it four times.
He says: “When I retired after 25 years, my confidence took a knock.
Eric Bell, 68, had the procedure done in a bid to regain some confidence to return to the dating scene.
“I’ve had girlfriends in the past but I’ve never been married. Being a bit older now, the dating scene these days is all a bit of a mystery to me.
“But I’m signed up to a dating site and ladies often tell me I look younger than I am. I try to look after myself.
“I’ve been on a few dates but nothing more. I had always felt nervous about my manhood, so I needed to get that confidence back. And in my mind seeing a bigger penis was the only way for me to get my confidence back.”
Eric says he opted for the treatment, at Moorgate Andrology, because it was non-invasive.
Eric Bell says the non-invasive treatment is a ‘godsend’
He says: “They first numb the area so that it’s not painful – then it only takes a few hours.”
He now describes himself as a “veteran” of the procedure after returning not just a second time but a third and fourth.
Eric, from Keighley, West Yorks, jokes: “I feel like a pin cushion – like a bit of a prick.”
Before treatment his penis was around three and a half inches in girth when floppy, it now measures 5in. But he adds: “The liquid dissolves away so I will keep having the treatment. It’s been a godsend.”
Martin Hardy, 32, building worker & model
PARANOIA about the size of his manhood drove Martin to get his first penis filler nearly two years ago – and he later returned for two more treatments.
He says: “I’ve never had any issue in that area when it comes to partners but when I was single and dating on Tinder, a lot of the girls seemed to be into porn.
Martin says paranoia about the size of his manhood led him to get penis filler
“There’s nothing wrong with that but it was a little more exotic than I had been used to. When looking for porn to watch, they they would type in things into the search engine like ‘monster c**k’.
“I didn’t realise women thought about penis size that much. When I had sex with one girl she pulled out all these sex toys that were as big as my arm.
“I thought, ‘Surely, I can’t be hitting all the angles she likes. Is this what women are looking for?’ I’ve never had any woman complain – but I thought maybe they didn’t want to say anything. I got really paranoid.
“It sent me on a bit of a downward spiral.”
Penis fillers, designed to increase the organ’s girth, are becoming more popular.
Martin, who was single at the time after splitting up with his now wife and mother of his ten-month-old daughter, admits his insecurity had a negative impact on relationships.
He explains: “I put off being intimate with women until we had known each other at least six months. They would ask if something was wrong, if I wasn’t attracted to them.”
But when Martin stumbled across the Androfill clinic online, it was a turning point. He says: “I spoke to them and they said I was well above average in length. But from their research, they said women seem to focus on girth and I could try the fillers.”
Martin, from Essex, has now had the procedure three times and has gone from a girth of around five inches when flaccid, to more than six.
He says: “My missus says she can definitely tell and can feel the difference.
“She’s had her boobs done and I see it as being sort of the same thing.
“No one else knows I’ve had it done and I’m probably going to get stick at work.
“But I’m planning to have it done again next month. It’s totally worth the cost.”
